Our Patient Commitment

Your health and well-being are a top priority for us and the COVID-19 pandemic has not changed our commitment to you. We continue to follow the highest standards of patient care that are based on clinical expertise and the best research currently available. Here are the steps that Amity Medical Group is taking daily to keep you safe.

  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols for our patient care areas
  • All staff and patients must wear a mask in the building and follow any other requirements or safety practices from the County and State
  • All patients must complete a symptom screening before their visit
  • All patients experiencing any type of symptoms of illness may be asked to wait in their vehicle for testing and medical services. Please let our front desk staff know if you have any symptoms and transportation concerns.
  • Please utilize our mobile pre-check-in service before your appointment for your safety and ours
  • We are offering telehealth services, however, some medical needs may require in-person physical assessments so ask our team if telehealth is right for your needs
  • COVID-19 vaccination appointments are open! Book your dose or booster today!
  • For all established patients, COVID-19 testing services are available (rapid antigen tests and PCR-confirmatory testing). Talk to one of our staff so we can help you determine which test is right for your needs

Our Advice

  • Get all the Covid-19 vaccine doses and the booster
  • Encourage family members and loved ones to be vaccinated
  • Follow social distancing guidance
  • Wash hands as instructed
  • Clean surfaces frequently that are being used by more than yourself
  • No supplements will prevent, treat, or shorten the course if you have Covid-19 and this includes silver-containing products
  • Boost your immune system by reducing stress on it. This includes reducing your personal fears and panic fueled by misinformation especially on social media
  • Further reduce stress on your immune system by reducing or eliminating tobacco, alcohol, and party drugs. This includes all-day weed smoking
  • Continue to exercise in moderation and get fresh air to boost your immune system, do not exercise if you exhibit symptoms of Covid-19
  • If routine medical care is needed, consider telemedicine or video-medicine
  • No HIV medicines or currently approved antiretrovirals, or anti-virals prevent, treat, or shorten the course of Covid-19
  • Saltwater gargles, drinking water with bleach, breathing hot steam or hot air from a blow dryer does not kill or shorten the course of Covid-19
  • Practice patience and compassion with each other. Most angry people are actually afraid about something whether they realize it or not

CDC Guidelines Explained

Isolated If You Test Positive For COVID-19

Regardless of your vaccination status:

  • Stay home for five(5) days
  • If you have no symptoms after five(5) days, you can leave your house
  • Continue to wear a mask around others for five(5) additional day
  • If you develop COVID-19 symptoms during isolation, reset the clock and continue to isolate
  • If you are free of fever after five(5) days and your symptoms have improved, you can leave your house but continue to wear a mask around others
  • If you have access to a test and want to be tested, the best approach is to schedule an antigen test towards the end of Day #5 of the isolation period. Collect the test sample only if you are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and your other symptoms have improved (loss of taste and smell may persist for weeks or months after recovery and need not delay the end of isolation). If your test result is positive, you should continue to isolate until Day #10. If your test result is negative, you can end isolation, but continue to wear a well-fitting mask around others at home and in public until Day #10. Follow additional recommendations for masking and restricting travel as described above.
  • If You Develop Symptoms

AND - Are fully vaccinated and have had a recent booster shot

OR - Have received two doses of Moderna or Pfizer vaccine within the last six(6) months

OR - Have received a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine within the last two(2) months

OR - Are unvaccinated

Isolate for five(5) days

  • Continue to wear a mask around others for five(5) additional day
  • If you can’t quarantine, you must wear a mask for ten(10) days
  • Schedule a COVID-19 test on Day #5, if possible
  • If You Were Exposed To Someone With COVID-19

AND - You are 18 years or older and received all recommended COVID-19 vaccine doses including a booster and have received additional shots if immunocompromised

OR - You are age 5 – 17 years old and have received the primary series of COVID-19 vaccines

OR - You tested positive for COVID-19 using the viral test in the past 90 days

  • Quarantine or isolation is not required
  • Wear a mask around others for ten(10) days
  • Schedule a COVID-19 test on Day #5, if possible

If you are unvaccinated, or don’t fully meet the criteria above, quarantine and follow quarantine guidelines.
